Nice balance with light and dark. At times, that can be difficult. Nice way to collage by hiding different parts of the sparrow. Good luck on this contest.

This is a very cool looking photograph of a collage of sparrow. His little head is moving in all directions. You can almost feel the action of him watching the dog closely. Each and every shot is well done and placed in a beautiful collage to view. Good luck in the contest.

I just really like this...right from the first viewing.. It is almost like the old film clips that create movement. How ingenious of you to use such a collage to create this! Truly artistic and smart!

If this were mine...I would now go after the saturation and back off of that bright green plant that is trying to steal the show from your sparrow. There are many ways to downplay that...including pulling out of the yellows a bit. They seem to want to overwhelm our sparrow friend. Then each eye would need to be highlighted...so it showed in each frame...as he surely was changing his expression each time! :) I really do love this effect ... I hope you give us another one soon! You are a wonder with backyard birds... LOVE the hokeh in these shots.. Thanks for sharing and best of luck!

    Becky,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this Sparrow collage.
I can make collages, adjust the light dark balance but little else partly due to lack of knowledge 7 the fact my computer is OVER ten years old & can't be updated. ONE day soon I hope I can replace it until ten I must make do with what I have.
Thanks too for the good wishes,

Nice series of photos of this watching bird

still, it is very busy and the photos are too small to really see details and enjoy the beauty of the bird

thanks for sharing

I love sparrows! I like your artistic arrangement here showing several images each with a different pose of the House sparrow, well focused, clear to view, well exposed, natural colors and tones, best to you in the contest!

Well this is an interesting way for you to have presented your Sparrow for this contest. Nice job explaining in your methods section how you did this.

Really like the collage bit....the way you've put it together makes it almost as if I can watch him turning his head from one side o the other as he awaits his 'harem' lol Excellent color in each of the nine pieces. Well exposed w/ good detail....can even see the sparkle in his eye in most of them.

So definitely an interesting way to do this entrant up YOU (I see it is a blind contest so will not use your name) Best of luck to you!!

Deborah

Keeping guard was he? looks like his head was moving a lot as these little birds do. looks like you started out really clear and then it got fuzzier, love the way he is high up to look all around his surroundings
