Beautiful sparrow, well photographed with good focus and exposure, the image is clear, nice natural colors and tones, good feather detail, subject stands out well from the blurred background, it looks like you caught him blinking. Well presented! Best to you in the contest!

I can't stop looking at this beautiful photo. It has an almost dream like feel to it, and I think it has to do with the colors and softness of the background. I don't mind at all that the bird has turned its head away, because even this adds to the photo. I also think the light is falling on it in a lovely way.
Your photo is also sharp showing truly clear and well defined details in every part of this sweet bird, and the exposure is just spot on.
The cropping is perfect, and the bird has got such a good placement within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest. A six stars shot, but I am afraid I have run out.

A beautiful picture of this White Cowned Sparrow perched above you on a twig while keeping an eye on everything & everybody. The light coming from behind hilighting it's tail & breast. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques,& sharp focus.

A nicely cropped shot with fine colors. His head is turned away so facial details are minimal and the eye is lost. Best of luck in the contest.
