I think that the colors that you've chose here are beautiful.
The green background accents the lovely shades of yellow very nicely.

I love the way you have painted this rose. It is beautiful, and yes, I can feel the emotion you were trying to convey. The choice of the green background was perfect to set off the color of the rose.

I wish that I had a six to award this beautiful digital painting of this orange rose, the details are amazing, the colors and tones are gorgeous, the petals are so delicate as they unfold! The stem and leaves are also very well created, your choice of the bright green background was excellent to showcase this single rose! Very well thought out and presented and a pleasure to view!

The rose is amazing and looks so real it's as if I can reach in and take it. ;)
Beautiful peach color, crisp details with lovely highlights.
The green background is nice but I may have De-saturated it a tad or tone it down.
Lovely painting Cleo.;)

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments and your input. You might be right. I cannot desaturate a painting, but I try to overpaint it with another shade of color. :o)

Ah.. I thought maybe you could place into an editing program.
    ;)

I could, but i don't like to do that. I tried my photo editing programs out on some of my paintings a while ago, but the colors came not out right and my paintings looked like photos over-edited with paint filters.

I've seen many roses on FanArt Review but none quite like yours. It is exquisite! The orange tones, shadows, and blossom position give the rose a very lifelike image. It appears to be opening before my eyes. Just lovely!

I just knew this was yours looking at the thumbnail, because you have your own special style. This yellow rose is truly beautiful, and painted in the most excellent way. I especially like the fine textures seen in the petals, and also how lovely the light is falling on the rose.

It is easy to see how much attention you have paid to details, and your brush strokes are just excellent.

Personally I think the green color you used in the background is a bit strong for this delicate looking rose, but I appreciate that this is a matter of taste. The format and framing is very good, and the rose is well placed on the canvas.

A truly lovely and well done digital painting Cleo.

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments and your input. I admit that i started out with lighter colors, but then thought its to pal and chaged to darker. I will try to over-paint with a lighter color. :o)

No need to do that Cleo, if you like the color yourself. Tastes are different you know. You are anyway more than welcome for the review.

    Thank you,
I will try another shade, anyway. It is a good exerzise. I usually use natural backgrounds, but think neutral colors might be often better to emphasize the subjects. :o)
