Aside from the terrible situation which made you post this photo, I happen to think it is a beautiful photograph that is well manipulated to give it this unique and wonderful look.
The softness and delicacy of this flower looks incredible.
It's truly a beautiful work of art. Perhaps not your norm but very skillfully done and beautiful to view. I know you were very emotional in your notes about the subject and yes I concur but rather would spend time telling you what a great job you did on this flower. It's truly unique!

Nicely done here Peg!
I 100% agree with your notes. It's so crazy that we as a country are doing this again. If you go back to anti-immigrant images, cartoons and news from the early 1900's, you will see the images have not changed.
We are a nation of immigrants, yet each new generation does the same thing!
It's heartbreaking to see children calling for their parents. It stains the heart.
Thank you for this wonderful image and post!

Exactly Trajan......we forget things like the internment of Japanese immigrants etc etc The only thing that changes is the nationalities....sigh You think we would have ALL learned by now. Thank you so much for your well spoken thoughts here. I do so appreciate you adding them.

Thanks for raising this social awareness...
Yes, one of the hardest emotional problems kids have to deal with is separation anxiety as they are still very dependent on their parents and so they fell so insecure when they are forcibly detached from their moms or dads!

Out of the box creation.
Symbolic representation.
Crisp & clear image.

Thanks for sharing...

I agree that it is horrible to separate innocent children from their parents! I think your use of the filter shows the idea a chaos very well. I hope that this horror is stopped and that all the children will be reunited with their parents immediately.

You're absolutely right. It's despicable what's happening to the children. No decent human being could do anything like that and sleep at night. I think your photograph captures the darkness the children are going through very well, too

You are certainly right about the way the government is treating those poor, innocent children. I hope it does stop soon. I do like your image that you have posted as a reminder of what is happening. Your image is striking and works well with the notes you have attached. Thanks for sharing and caring.

This is a beautiful image, Deborah, conveying the horror of the poor children being separated from their parents. I think you've portrayed your feelings very well and I totally agree with you. I like what you've done with the image. The seed pod softened representing the children is a really beautiful image. Excellent lighting and focus. Great composition. Suzanne

Noble thoughts and comments indeed. This isbacked by a wonderfully created flower portrait so symbolic of the children. You have framed it well. Light and sharpness are very effective in in creating a lovely capture. Good effort!

I totally agree with you. It is inhumane let alone non -american to separate families.
I like your image which to me shows a solid center and many petals coming from the center reaching out. Thus the world should be uniform and have a solid foundation in which we can all grow and learn from. We are all connected in some way shape or form. We are all human and need to breath and drink water and eat to survive. We are the same creature. We need to find solid staple ground and peace.
it is sad the way the world is today and now to separate the children from their families is a disgrace and can and will cause them great emotional turmoil. This will cause their foundation to crumble and fall and where does that leave the future of the world as a whole.
Heartbreaking....

This is such a beautifully executed photo, filled with texture and gorgeous details, well centered in your photo, exploding against the black background.Your dof is excellent.I Agree with what you have said 100%,how anyone can think separating children from their families is a good idea has no soul,in my opinion. This needs to be remedied, hopefully the idiot will do so.It is a gorgeous piece,Deb,you should be very proud of it! :) LeeAnn
