a very strange result: I'm not at all familiar with post production;
what I mostly like, and this is worth a cyber six, are your comments: fortunately, even the majority of people who voted for your crazy president considered that this decision is a shame for the people of America;

    Neither am I Fred. In all the time I have posted to FAR this is the first MM piece I have ever done....and I have struggled for almost two weeks to come up w/ an image to match my feelings about this latest Trumpian escapade. Honestly though, it was the comments I wanted to get out there.....the image was secondary so I am truly flattered by the cyber six for my notes. Thank you Fred....very much...

In total agreement with you Deborah- from watching on the side lines in the Uk - there is so much outrage at Trump's government and his citing of the bible as justification. It's like a move back to the work houses of Victorian era. As for the artwork, this is actually a bit too lovely to show the horror in my opinion must show your compassion as well.

    I couldn't find an image in my archives JOMO that would register my pure outrage so tried it this way instead. Thank you so much for seeing the compassion and including your ideas. I am rarely ashamed to be an American.....just could not NOT say something about the horror of this latest Trump idea and appreciate you viewing it and commenting.

I so much agree with you Deborah, and I was actually thinking the same. We saw a video yesterday on the news where the small children were crying for their moms and dads, and it brought tears to my eyes. How can a country (president) allow something like this ?

I am actually so upset about this that reviewing your photo almost comes second. But it is a lovely photo, and I especially like the editing you have done. The photo also has a good balance in the composition.

This is such a fine tribute to all the unhappy children and their parents, and a reminder of that the world sometimes seen to go backwards instead of foreword.

    You are right AV. The photo is secondary.....by a long shot. I really just wanted a way to say something about this situation and sadly, you are also right when yo asked 'how can a country allow something like this?' b/c WE need to stand up as a country and say NO. I've been watching this on the news and saw the same clip w/ children crying for their parents. OMG it is just awful. So if this piece does nothing more than help a few Americans know where to go to register their outrage than I'll be happy. Thank YOU for having a look and adding your ideas. Means a lot and I appreciate it.

    You are more than welcome Deborah. Just heard on the news that Presiden Trump has changed his mind, so if it is many people protesting, it works. He must have realized that he could not get any support for this law. Even his own family was against this.

    Unfortunately AV, he lies.....a LOT. But people all over this country have been making a huge stink about this. I can only hope we truly shamed him into putting a stop to this.

    So do I.

Deborah,
A beautiful picture with a twist expressing your anger & frustration at what is happening in your country & that of my Grandmother. Someone should get ------to read the statement on the statue of Liberty! Beautiful composition of what looks like the back of a Dandelion the golden flower that welcomes spring & then produces a seed head that almost every child I know had fun telling the time as they blew on the seed head,
Just looked your flower up I got it very wrong forgive me! Taken with superb camera & editing techniques & sharp focus.

    Exactly Susan! 'Give me your tired...your weary...etc etc' This is so far from our beliefs as they are shown on the Statue of Liberty! Had to smile that you don't even want to write 'his' name....lol Believe me, many of us here in the US feel exactly the same way. Anyway, it's a really lovely review you've given my new piece here. Thank you so much.

    Deborah,
    He is due to visit Ireland some time BUT He will NOT get the welcome he got when he opened his Golf course when he next visits. There are a majority of people who will IGNORE his visit & those who do go will face protests.
    I just pray for all our sakes he is NOT re-elected.

    OMG Susan...I pray that for the entire world at this point. Hard to believe one man can cause so much grief.

First I totally support and agree with your statement. You have created a beautiful image, you should play with filters more often. I wasn't sure what you started from but the final product works very well visually. Good color and focus. Well conceived and well executed.

    LOL....never realized before how interesting they could be Charles. This was actually a simple LIATRIS seed pod I had photographed in my gardens after dark. The filter softened up all the hard edges. Thank you for having a look and for the really nice review you've given it. Do appreciate it.

Being a Brit I do not wish to become involved in US politics but from over here it seems as if Trump is pushing controversial ideas. I can see though quite a bit of artistic fury in your image which expresses itself in a calm way. Nicely done!
