The flower is indeed beautiful. It looks like some kind of Daisy. It has some similarities with Shasta Daisies, but I am not sure what species it is. Your photo is pin sharp. The details of petals and center are excellently defined. The dark background amplifies the tissue-paper like texture of the petals. I am sure one of our flower experts will be able identify the flower.

To me this looks like a white Cosmos, because I have them in my garden. I have photographed them as well, so you will probably soon see them in my portfolio as well. You captured this white beauty so well, and it is standing out from the dark background in an excellent way.
Your focus is spot on and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in both the petals and the yellow center, and the white balance and exposure is perfect.
I also think the format and tight cropping is working well and the flower has got a good placement within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken flower photo Pat.

Very nice. I normally do not like the black background but it works for this image. I don't know the flower either but it is well captured. I love the ruffles nature of the petals. Light is well controlled, focus is good and sharp. Colors are strong. well seen and well taken.
