Wow! These are splendid! I like the vibrant red colors and the double layer of petals. The dark greens of the background foliage add good depth. The center details are superb and I shall modify how I paint poppies after seeing these.

Thank you so very much Linda! There are different types of Poppies , the center detail is different on this type from the blue poppy and some of the others, Peg Leg Deb could probably tell you more about the different types .

This is a lovely shot of an orange poppy. I have only seen red ones and yellow ones in California. The center is full of great details. Nice placement and framing of the flower. Very lovely composition. The orange pops against the green leafy background.

A beautiful picture of this bright scarlet Oriental Poppy after several bees have visited & scattered the pollen about on the inside of the petal & on the pistil in the centre. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
