You have captured this beautiful Great Egret so well, and it is posing for you in the most lovely well. Of course the perfect reflection in the shiny water is doing this photo more than anything, but I also like a lot the way the light is falling on the bird. It is also standing out from the dark background in an excellent way.
Your photo is really sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in the bird. The exposure and white balance is perfect.
The format and the framing works so well, and the bird has got a fine placement off to the right. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo Grace, and with an excellent DOF.

I love egrets. I love reflection shots. An egret shot with a full reflection? Spectacular! Nice white balance control. Not always to do on these white beauties. Just a really lovely shot over all. Thanks for sharing.

You have found an Adult Great Egret going through it's breeding changes. See the bit of green starting to show on the lore? The start of the dorsal plumes growing in are all evidence this Egret will be in full breeding soon.
I am thrilled to see white balance controlled, focus sharp and eye clarity superb.
Fine POV including the full reflection.

You have found an Adult Great Egret going through it's breeding changes. See the bit of green starting to show on the lore? The start of the dorsal plumes growing in are all evidence this Egret will be in full breeding soon.
I am thrilled to see white balance controlled, focus sharp and eye clarity superb.

I love when they fly right by me I hear the sound of their wing flaps. During mating season when you are here...you will see this for hours on end early morning and in the evening.
:) But shhhhhh don't let anyone know when you are at Sange's B&B!
