Gotta give you a six for the use of your phone and our explanation of the technology advances in those phone cameras. I continue to be amazed at my kids' captures. Just can't keep up with this digital age of photography.. It is moving very quickly in many respects.

I like your composition. The curve of your barrel drum placed strategically through your crop...allowing the dof ..the beautiful greens that are the stage to your rusty siennas and that bit of greenish blue in your spigot. The handle is definitely the point of interest ...and quite a work of art compared to those of today...as you say..mostly plastics.

I enjoyed studying this very much. I hope you do or did well in the contest!

Thanks for the nice review. I agree the use of "small format" cameras is expanding at a furious rate. Not too far away I would imagine a camera will capture a series of burst shots that focus at various depths of an image. Once you start post processing you can then pick the focus you want from an array of layered images. That would be cool.

An interesting subject. Great focus and amazing detail. Great color and clarity. Excellent choice and perfect candidate for the rusty object contest. I wish you good luck.
Nicely framed and presented.

Thanks a lot Pat for stopping by and looking at this old rusty artifact. It was on my in-laws property so it has more meaning than just a old piece of junk for me. Thanks again!
