The red of this flower is so rich and eye catching. I imagine they look very dramatic in your garden. Your exposure is lovely and shows good detail of the petal design and the center.

This is a perfect capture. The colors are beautifully realistic. The natural light amplifies the well defined details. The stamen, pistils, and petals are pin sharp and nicely emphasized by the green,shallow background.

First of all, the colour is beautiful and you have captured it so well. The lighting is well controlled. I like the close crop, perfect focus in the centre and the blurred background which really makes the flower pop out. It is an all around beautiful photograph.

This is quite an artistic flower in its own right. And your successful capture of it continues to exhibit the details of that center. The white is well 'balanced' and sets the stage for that center detail. Well done.
The petals are a glorious red that have taken on depth and textures with the play of the light and shadows between and around them. Again...your balance of color saturation control and exposure of the natural garden light has created a 'touchable' image.
Your overall composition is artful in both crop and depth of field. Black is always a good stage for a vibrant red and yet it can sometimes take the life out of a subject. You have sustained that beauty here by sustaining the gentle garden olive greens behind this beautiful flower. A perfect blend as the background. A pleasure to view. Thanks for sharing and best of luck in the contest !

This flower is stunning. I love the deep red petals and the white throat. The seed bed in the center is quite appealing. I like the mottled greens in the background as they complement the vivid red so well.
