A nicely timed shot that is well composed. I think it is a bit overexposed as your highlights are somewhat blown out. Good luck in the contest.

A beautiful stop action picture of this Pelican taking off from the water it's"toes" dangling in the water droplets falling off it's wings edge the droplets frozen in space by your fast exposure. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
