Yes, Deb, those shadows are very neat indeed. The trees also lean just right to look like a natural arch with the shadows as a guiding path to walk along. You have a keen eye to see the natural beauty of it all and its artistry. Composed perfectly for all the aforementioned qualities. Hope it cooled you down :). Ed.

Yes...this is lovely. Such a rich brown color of the Cedar trees vs the glorious blue sky and the blue shadows of the trees on the white snow. That abstract design of the shadows on the floor of your woods is quite impactful along with the3 straight Brown trunks. It makes it feel like they are making an arbor for you to cross under...just to take their picture. Ha!
You really do have a way with framing a landscape so there is a shape to the scene that seems almost abstract ...and creating a wonderful, magical archway into the winter woods. Thanks for reminding us of the beauty of a season not all that long gone in your neck of the woods.. Fresh and crisp and beautiful...compared to the soupy hot weather where we are right now.. ha! Nature is just trying to force humans to get a grip and get outside for an experience as amazing as this one you have so generously shared with us. Thank you for that. A complete pleasure!

I am not at all surprised that YOU see this scene the same way I do Becky but I hope you know how much I appreciate how well you've described it. Many will, I'm sure, see nothing but a bunch of trees....lol btw- 'soupy' is the perfect way to describe what's happening right now. I did not even step a toe outside yesterday....going to be braver today I hope. Anyway, you are just the best for giving my new piece this wonderful review and extra special rating. This is a beautiful winter scene! The light and shadows on the snow are lovely. It looks like a beautiful day with a nice blue sky. I've never been snowing. I want to try it someday.
