I always love this artists flowers. they are very realistic. These look like wild flowers to me as they might be seen out in a pasture. Well done, and a pleasure to look at.

Another well done water color Linda. I like the pastel colors you used which are accented by the background. It is good that your are learning what 'Does not work' as that is the quickest way to improve. Keep going and experimenting Linda ~ Steve

I applaud your willingness to experiment and grow in your work Linda.
I like this style but I also like your previous ones with the pen.
Lovely colors, fine details, and Nice soft blending of background colors.
Beautiful piece Linda!

I think your experiments are turning out very nicely :) Your backgrounds always look so nice with your blending techniques. The shapes of the flowers and the colors look good.

A gorgeous color pallet.....love the combination of the purple and pink coneflowers against those softer pastel colors of yellow, green and blue. Good artists notes and storytelling with your image. I love that you try different techniques in your art.....that is why your art is always evolving and so creative. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing!

a delicate creation with gentle colours and carefully wrought lines. The pinks and mauvs compliment each other and the green and white stalks likewise. Delicate specks of morning dew is how the dots can be translated.

This is so lovely...and so full of life and movement and fragrance and nature.
I think you have been successful in your efforts to expand your use of watercolors. I recognized your masking fluid right away. You really did an excellent job keeping that subtle. Once it is there...it is not all that easy to get rid of.. at least not in my paintings.
I appreciate your notes.. you have shared your experience with us. And you have been candid in your desires to change up a few things in this one that you will not do in the next. I look forward to the next!
I personally think this is lovely. The playfulness of the flower petals in their various stages of blossoming is my favorite part...plus your gentle yet vivid colors. And of course your masking... Again..I have used that and i am very impressed with your discreet use of the liquid. I love the bit of abstract feel with your crossing stems...Lovely! Well done! Very artistic!

Thank you so very much for your encouragement. I am struggling to loosen up and have done a little better on my current project. I am hoping to post it tomorrow.

Are you taking classes, Linda? As much as I love water color I have a terrible time 'loosening up' as you so aptly put it. I think this is showing a lot of the natural flow of water color... :)

A very nice painting but not as elegant as the red one. I like these colors well enough but there is a herringbone weave look to the crossing stems which I do not much care for.
