Thank you so much, Eileen. I am glad you like it. I am trying to master a softer wash effect. I have been a little more successful in the piece I am currently completing. It is a bluebird and rose. I shall post it soon.

Lovely garden image. Well composed and captures the feel of a bunch of Cone Flowers growing in the garden. Good colors. The back ground works very well and sets the flowers off. Good use of the medium in creating this work. Well done.

Linda, in my opinion this is a beautiful work of art, very well created with beautiful choices of colors and tones! Coneflowers are a favorite of mine and you created these so well, the long slender petals in the pinks and purples with the yellow cone centers and nice long stems, this looks to me like a field where the flowers grow wild, there is a gentle breeze as I see motion here too, the background tones work perfectly to keep the viewers eye on the flowers. They say we are our own worst critic, I suppose it's meant to be that way, to me this is beautiful work and it's impressive to view! Well presented!

Thank you so much, Pat. I am having fun learning to loosen up with the watercolor washes and to protect areas with the masking fluid. I am trying a bluebird and a Rose next.
