Nice shot. Ah Florence! It's been quite awhile since I have been there.
It was a fabulous city to visit.
I love this shot. It really captures the charm and feel of the city.
The still water and golden reflections make for a very romantic image.

This is a beautiful view. I like how the Arno flows diagonally through the photo leading our eyes. The photo has a great depth. The realistic colors are appreciated. The reflection are intriguing. I have the feel that the photo slightly tilts to the right. Consider the level the photo carefully using the bride as level.

    many thanks cleo; but you're wrong:
    this is taken with a wide angle lens: the vertical lines of the houses in the middle are perfectly vertical: if I straighten the bridge, the houses on the left, already tilting to the left wold look awful
reply by cleo85 on 07-Jul-2018
    Does that means the photo tilts actually to both sides. I wonder why it does that. I never had that experience even when I shot in panorama format. I actually thought the houses at the left lehning that way naturally because of the house where I live tilts because it is on a hill.

    a pic taken with a very wide angle lens will Always tilt on both sides; the maximum effect is obtaied with a "fish eye" lens;

    Thanks for the info. I have tried the Fish-Eye lense in the post but than gave the lense to a friend because I do not like the effects. On the other hand so far I know, Fish-Eye is a style which is fashionable in art photography.

What a lovely sight and a fine entry for the contest. The blue river gets accentuated with the yellows of the building. The scene is serene and well captured. Good luck!

I like the elevated perspective that gives you such a long view of the river and the great buildings along its banks. The colors are beautiful and should serve you well in the contest. Good luck.
