This is really well done. You did an excellent job with photorealism with the digital paints. The muted colors of blues and browns go very well together, giving it a gentle appearance that doesn't overwhelm the eyes. I like the contrast of the shadows and light; they transition very well and smoothly. The bird has great sharpness to it, but not too much that it steals any attention. I also like the simplicity of the image as well, so that all the attention goes towards the bird and that way we can admire it even moreso.

This is really well done. You did an excellent job with photorealism with the digital paints. The muted colors of blues and browns go very well together, giving it a gentle appearance that doesn't overwhelm the eyes. This is what I call a photo realistic digital painting Cleo, and I like everything about it. From the lovely textured light blue background, and your excellent use of high lights. You have also brought out the fine textures in the bird's feathers, and I really enjoyed the notes you have added.
Your brush work is very good, and especially the eye is well done. The expression in it has indeed brought life to this cute Roadrunner.
I also think the picture has a strong composition with a perfect framing and placement of the bird on the canvas. This is a truly beautiful and well done digital painting through and through.

In 1970 the little league baseball team I was on was called.. roadrunners..always wanted a plymouth roadrunner but it wasn't in the stars for me..wink..lol

I had to read this twice to understand that this is a digital painting and not a photo. Amazing! I understand why it is already received a blue ribbon. These birds are my heros since I was a kid. Willie Coyote and the Roadrunner are my favorite cartoons of all time. Actually these cartoons are wasted on kids. These have totally adult humor and adult undertones that need to be appreciated by adult. Your artwork is so realistic and precise. The details are lifelike and almost has movement. I am ready for him to say Beep, Beep and be gone. The use of light shows of his smallest details and poise. Super artwork.
