A beautiful flower and a great presentation. I like the tight crop. The colors are fantastic and details are sharp down to the pollen grains.

Quite a nice nature shot posted here. Your full, central and overhead composition allows us a good look at your lovely poppy. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely taken!

Pat,
A wonderful picture of this Simple & very beautiful Red Poppy with the stamens circling the pistil/ developing seed head in the centre, each one tipped with blue Gray pollen, contrasting with the scarlet of the petals. The innermost petals casting shadows on the outer ones. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

This is a wonderful capture! So close up that we can SEE the blue of the stamina/pollen. The petals are vibrant and the muted background accompanying this bloom is wonderfully complimentary. BRAVO!

Beautiful flower! Love the detail you have achieved. One suggestion I have would be to try a different angle instead of straight on for a more interesting composition. You can still focus your camera on the blue pollen without having a bullseye composition that is almost overwhelmingly the same color bright red. Taking the photo at an angle could introduce new shadows and highlights that could contribute to the complexity of the photo. Otherwise a nice shot!

I like the vibrant red petals and the deep shadows the bright sunlight creates on them. The blue pollen on the dark filaments is very nice. I like the star shaped seed head forming in the center. If one looks closely one can see blue pollen dust in the cup of the petals.

The flower says.." you like my jewelry?". Lol. The clarity is great. The capture of the light is great. The angle of the shot of this awesome flower is great. The image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Virtual 6 for this one.
My mom is loving all of the poppies being posted lately, they remind her of my great grandpa.
Your poppy is very crisp and clear.
I love how detailed you showed the center of the poppy, especially with the blue powder of the pollen.
Nice natural coloring.
Nice depth of field.
Nice and beautiful shot, thanks for sharing.
