A beautiful bird and a very nice rear profile perspective. The colors are great but the eye is all but lost in the shadow and the setting could be more attractive.

I saw wild bluebirds for the first time in North Carolina and have been smitten ever since. I love the scruffy look his wet feathers give him. The stone basin in which he is bathing creates a bark like texture that is most appropriate.

Nice capture here Grace. Those wet feathers look scraggly as he takes his bath. We have the Eastern Bluebirds here in Tennessee and they always nest in the same box year after year. Sometimes up to three broods in one season. Great shot here Grace ~ Steve

The bird looks annoyed and angry, probably he feels disturbed by you and your camera. The pose is perfect. That the bird is wet is an extra tread for the viewer. The beautiful colors of the bird are well emphasized by the background. The photo has good depth and is excellent focused. Sharp detail is visible throughout.

These creatures are the official State Bird of New York and,although I've lived in New York state all my life ( except for my time in the military ) I've never seen a living example! : )
