Oh, cosmos is very beautiful and bright in colors, the black background makes it even more vibrant and attractive. Like thee small piece of the bud behind, so cute! Thanks for sharing.

Fantabulous image with Sharply focused fine floral venation, core features & velvety smooth textures.
Visually soothing & appealing.
Subdued lighting.

Pitch dark backdrop pops out bloom aesthetically.

Exquisite capture.
Impeccable presentation!

Beautiful shot! You capture so much detail I can almost smell the flower! I like the deep red bud hiding in the background. The green around it makes it seem to be saying "I am here too!"

A stunning shot of the pink Cosmos with the striking yellow stamens. Also how lovely is the Cosmos bud at the top right side. You have achieved a wonderful perspective. Very well photographed in good lighting, with sharp focus and good details and clarity in your image. I so enjoyed reading your artists notes and love the storytelling with your image. Your dark background compliments your photography beautifully. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah,Deb!
Bilateral Symmetry seems to be 'the way to go' with physical life forms in the present universe! ( Although certain Occult 'myths' hint that it wasn't that way in certain of the former 'unbalanced' universes! )
Rather than get side tracked into babbling on about that 'Dark' and complex stuff lemme just say that your picture of this wonderfully colorful ( and pleasingly symmetrical! ) blossom looks Great!
:D

This will be the third time I'm trying to thank you John.... been storming and my internet connection keeps cutting off. So let me thank you- very much for the wonderful review....the excellent rating and your thoughts on my notes. Gotta love those Mission priests, yes?? They definitely knew how to name a flower. What a lovely and outstanding capture of this cosmos!
I love the dimension in the flower and the incredible texture of the petals. I really love how the bud peeks out from behind the main bloom.
Wouldn't change a thing!
Fantastic work FQ!

awwww....you are a doll Marsha. I got a kick outta the little guy top right too. Thought I could poke him down behind the main blossom but he just refused to stay hidden....so I let him be in the photo and kinda glad I did. It's a wonderful review you've given my new piece and hope you know how much I appreciate the extra special rating too. Thank you so much FP!

The pedals look like fans. I like the little guy peeping out LOL. Great colors; like the bright yellow "Sun" center; the violet is a nice compliment; nice background to bring it out; looks like it's floating. Pretty spiffy shot. Take care.

That little guy up there absolutely insisted on being in the photo swimmer. ...and you're right....the petals do have the exact same shape as the fins of a fan! lol Love how your eye picks up on things like that. So pleased you had a look at this one and you are just a peach for giving it such a wonderful rating. Thank you swimmer....very much. How are things down there in Florida? You doing well??

I'm doing well. I am putting up with Sciatica right now. You probably already know that. It's pretty hot here. Up in to 90s. Working out six days/week. No offense to older people but being around my parents so much makes me feel "old." I do have a friend(who happens to be a girl) I've been running into at the gym but am a bit shy about asking her to do something together. I've know her since first grade.

aw....go ahead swimmer. Be brave and ask her! You've known her so long....maybe she's just waiting for you to ask ya know?
reply by swimmer74 on 17-Jul-2018
Well, I know she's busy taking care of three girls. I may.

aw go ahead swimmer. She may enjoy doing something different for a change.
