I don't know how you got all those details without getting super close and disturbing the dragon fly. I find this shot amazing and should definitely be in a contest or the photo of the month. The details, lighting, exposure and composition are so well done. Love it! I also find that curly branch so interesting to look at.

Oh Wow. This is a great shot Grace. It immediately catches the eye and begs to look for the details. The focus is sharp even showing the hairs on the thorax just behind the head. The wings showing the veins and reflection works so well. The green soft focus background/shallow depth of field really makes the dragon fly pop. Really nice work here Grace ~ Steve

Oh Wow. This is a great shot Grace. It immediately catches the eye and begs to look for the details. The focus is sharp even showing the hairs on the thorax just behind the head. The wings showing the veins and reflection works so well. The green soft focus background/shallow depth of field really makes the dragon fly pop. Really nice work here Grace ~ Steve

Wow! What a magnificent dragonfly. I have never seen one with thesecolors and wing design. The black spots on the aged cellophane wings with their fine veins are just superb. Thegolden stripe down its body and tail give a bronze patina to the body. The gray compound eye color is repeated on its back.
