Such a pretty and feathery opening blossom---very distinctive. The background leaves almost resembled a painting. I wouldn't have recognized it as a rhododendron but that's irrelevant since your photographic treatment works so well.

A beautiful subject that is presented with an artistic flair. The composition is excellent and the colors are beautiful. The DaVinci filter is not a favorite of mine.

I thought I was looking at a pastel or color pencil rendering of a flower ! I just love how at the top the leaves are barely visible, I love the dramatic lighting at the bottom as well and the vibrant purple flower . Great use of the tools available to you !

Wow, what spectacular color! It almost looks surreal. I like the way you shot this giving the viewer a glimpse of the flower pod from which it emerged. The black (vignette?) sets off the other colors very nicely but is not overdone. Nice shot.

I really like the contrast in textures in this image. The tan and brown areas behind the blossom remind me of fine wool. I like the way the light and shadows add depth. The fuschia colored petals with their lighter highlights give the flower the look of a delicate soufflé . The star shape created by the veins in the petals is pleasing.
