How adorable is he. He looks like a winner to me. Love his expression and the abstract floor he is on. The shadow is done well. Love all the harmonious colors in this artwork. Good luck in the contest.

I don't like Bosco, I love her. You have created a painting so full of life, happiness and expression. The head tilt is wonderful. My sis in law also has a Pugger named Tozai. It just cracks me up when they tilt there heads. Watercolor is my fav medium to create with and I must say you have done OUTSTANDING work here with it. Blessings my friend and good luck in the contest. Always gratefully, Cindy Sue ð??¶

Thank you so much Cindy Sue got th3 stellar review and encouragement. I am still learning watercolors so this was a challenge but I do like how watercolors can create the fur look without having to actually draw fur. I shall keep practicing. Thanks for the support.

You have done a very nice job on this water color. I give you a lot of credit as I find water colors difficult to work with.
You have presented an adorable expression on this little guy.
I like your technique. His shadow shows well.
Over all very well done and i wish you good luck in the upcoming contest.

Great painting! Love you watercolor technique using different bold colors to create a painterly quality. Great use of line in the floor tile that leads the eye to the main subject. There is some inconsistency with lighting though; you have a very defined shadow in the background, but on the ground there is no shadow. Next time I would suggest having a background that fades into the back to add depth to the piece. All in all a great painting!

Thanks Vivian. I struggled a little with the shadow. The bricks are darker under him and leading back to the blue shadow but my photo did not pick it up as well as I would have liked.

Still a great piece, and it all just takes practice. :) Watercolor is hard to layer, so I?ve learned to plan out everything before starting, and starting with darker colors first. Just a couple suggestions.

Thanks. I will try that. Each piece teaches me something new.
