Nice work on this one. I like the rendering of the seagulls in the different flight positions. They almost blend in with the background sky and clouds which is a nice touch. A great entry for the contest. Best of the best in the contest ~ Steve

The style of the painting is suburb. The artist obtained just exactly the feel that was expected with the materials that were used. The wings are the most prominent feature of each gull. The birds themselves look exactly like sea gulls. Lovely work of art. Thank you for sharing.

This looks like an attempt of "high key" painting. The limited use of color works well because the two seagulls in front have some nicely defined detail and expression. The painting has a good perspective. The seagull flying away in the background is a nice idea, but is place to close to the frame at the right. I assume the bright blue stripe below covers your signature. The color strip is distracting, because it has the darkest color of the entire painting. If possible cover it with white. If you have any editing program clone this part.

I like the lightness of this. It's almost as if we are in the clouds with them.
Very ethereal and quite well done. In assuming the blue swatch is your name crossed out, otherwise I am wondering why it there?

oh wow! i absolutely love this painting. the fluffiness of the clouds and the realism of the birds as well as the use of shadows all combine to make this a great piece! :)

I think you have succeeded in creating your desired affect. I love the movement the seagulls give .... the way their wings add to the overall dimension. I particularly like the second one from the top that you have made the face identifiable. No so easy .... I am having a tricky time with this on one of mine. I wish you luck. Thank you for sharing
