Thank you! I had so many problems with ?bugs? in my computer software that I almost gave up on this one. (I am glad I didn't!)I also had no idea how such an atypical digital style would be received. (My right hand was injured in an accident with a horse so I am grateful that the digital modality is available for someone like me who has difficulty holding a pencil or brush.) Thanks very much for your enthusiastic encouragement! Daphne Oberon

Lovely creation. There is so much detail within this image carefully positioned to make the visual story. Nice mix of colors, good leading lines, nice visual focus. Well seen and presented.

i like the reference to the obscure Toltec culture. I love ancient cultures and i like the mix of the Aztec and Native American aesthetic. it's a really nice touch

Thank you! Cool that you know about the Toltec culture, which the Aztecs rather borrowed from. I read in a National Geographic book on the Aztecs how the Toltec's tried banishing them to an island in the marshes of the Valley of Mexico that had noting but rocks and rattlesnakes, but they boiled and roasted the snakes and survived just fine! Having become really tough they eventually infiltrated the Toltec's and became empire builders themselves. A lot of rich history in all that. As I am sure you know these cultures were both "nasty" and "miraculous."

I really like the three dimensional look of this piece and the tapestry like textures you achieved especially in the top border of the scene. The layers of plant life in the garden give depth.
