The summer-ice seems to have piled up and layers got shove above each other. Its an interesting subject and an intriguing view especially in front of the impressive mountains and the beautiful blue sky.

Thank you so very much! These are chunks of the Glacier that have broke loose and are floating in the lake . I reality value and appreciate your support!

I have to wonder where the photographer was standing to get this one! The snow beyond is so clear it looks like whipped cream poured over the mountains. This is a great shot! Daphne Oberon

Thank you so very much! I am standing at the waters edge, it?s a concrete walkway.

One can see the beauty of the blue in this wonderful capture of the glacier ice. Fine balance and framing! The light and shadows, the colours and the composition have worked well. Good effort!

You title got me interested as summer and ice often don't end up in the same context.

This image really gets my attention. The blue sky contrasts with the white snow on the mts. The dark snowless part of the mts really cements the image.

The near ice is really cool in their shape and color.

It is 91 here today, this image is almost as good as air conditioning!!

Thank you so very much for your thoughtful review and six star rating! I really appreciate both very much! It?s gloomy, raining and 60 degrees here today.

You produced a beautiful scenic photograph that makes a perfect addition to National Geographic Magazine. The ice on the water reminds me of abstract statues of polar bears, and the glacier ice also looks to me like mini versions of the snow covered mountains set against the pristine blue sky.

Beautifully shot as always. The glacier ice has very neat and artistic mountain like shapes that mimic the real ones behind them. Makes for an interesting contrast. Sure a different summer than here in Florida. ð???

Thank you so very much! It looks much colder in this image then it really was, it was about 65 degrees , which feels very warm to us!

Very welcome. Would never have guessed 65 degrees.

It looks very cold for a summer day, well I am use to the desert in summer

excellent angle of shot, focus and light handling, white on white is not easy to shot

thanks for sharing

This is an interesting photo. The dark brown, blue and white color scheme perfectly represent the coolness of the setting, I also appreciate the curved edges of the iceburg against the sharper features of the mountains. well done.

Literally a cool capture!

The coldness is very palpable!
Gorgeous illumination.
At least no overblown spots!
Sharply focused.
Fine ice features & varied textures.
Diminishing perspective.

Good perspective & long depth of field...
