Lovely shot of this beautiful Water Lily, just opening out. I like how the sun shines through the pink petals and the contrast of the blue reflection from the sky in the water. Very good lighting and focus showing a nice crisp image. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

A good entry into the colors in nature contest. Perfectly cropped and good placement of the gorgeous water lily in you photography. A well composed natural setting with beautiful natural colors. Very well photographed with good details and clarity in your image. You have captured the strength of this species of flower. Your light and shadows have created depth and interest in your piece. This is a nice picture of the waterlily but I would have preferred to have you shot this closer, if you could have. A nice close up of the Waterlily or cropping it closer on the left side of the picture and a little off the bottom of the image to frame the flower to make it more predominant in the image.

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments and valuable critique. I have several other shots including macro. I did not want the waterlily predominant because I wanted to show how light influences the colors in nature.

I love waterlilies, this pink one is very pretty, it really stands out well from these natural surroundings, this is well photographed with good focus, the image is clear, well controlled exposure , the colors and tones appear natural, I love the light coming through the petals. This composition allows us to see how these flowers grow and a sense of location. Well presented, best to you in the contest!
