A beautiful butterfly which is certainly not native to Michigan. Its colors are fantastic and the detail in the insect are outstanding. Best of luck in the contest.

Love the pattern on the hind wings of this gorgeous swallowtail;I always enjoy viewing photos of butterflies from different parts of the world.Your model is nicely posing for us,giving us a slight peek at it's upper wing.The swallowtail is nicely centered in your photo with sharp focus and good natural color.A great contest entry,best of luck!

Great picture good lighting and lots of color. I have only seen one in a butterfly house on mackinaw island in Michigan. Maybe someday I'll see one in the wild. Thanks for sharing. Wyatt

many thanks lynn, but please Always read the rules of a contest: it was indicated:
" the Butterfly should occupy most of your space"
therefore I had to crop a max...I'll post tomorrow the same bf in another pose, for another contest with the entire flower and surrounding
