Glass sculpture by Scott Hartley

Nicely captured image of this glass paperweight. My glass artist friends would say that there is too much light and other things reflecting off the surface to really see what the design is. In some cases it is hard to tell if it is part of the design or a reflection. I like the piece and think the picture captures it pretty well. Good color. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you very much for your review and your input. This is not a paperweight, but a one food tall sculpture. This is a hand blown piece the things inside are not reflections but objects the artist has integrated inside the sculpture. The sole reflection is the dark tree above the red objects..

It is a nicely blown piece. Who is the artist? I shoot glass all the time for a local studio. I know how tough it can be. That is a good sized piece, the size doesn't show in the shot. The color is very nice.

The artist is ScotT Hartley of Brenton, Kensas. It seems you have overlooked my comments where the artist's name and location is provided.

You are correct I did miss that note.

This is something you do not see everyday. Wonderful entry for the contest - good luck. Is this one of your hand blown products? That is some talent! Color is just perfect. I feel that the reflection in the top left of the egg is detracting from this being a great photo.

Thank you very much for your kind comments and wishes. I am not the artist. I just took this photo of the glass sculpture at an art show. The sculpture is one food high.

Wow, quite an impressive piece of glass. It would make Chihuly proud. A fine shot with beautiful colors and very sharp detail. Best of luck in the contest.
