This is a great entry for the macro photos contest! You have excellent sharpness and detail in the head and body. You composed this very well and you can really see how it's hanging on to the blade of grass. The smooth green background is lovely. Best of luck in the contest!

Great outstretched wings on this amazing dragon fly.
Well focused. Nice detail.
I'm enjoying the muted background which makes the dragon fly show so well. The blade of grass appears dainty and manageable for this guy.

Your macro is perfect...in light and shadows and in DOF. Your colors are not overly saturated.....just perfect. Very well photographed with good lighting, sharp focus and excellent details in the stunning dragonfly. Well composed and beautiful natural setting. Very nice image of the dragonfly. Good detail and focus. This is a little different color than usual, almost silver. The patterns in the wings are well seen. Good background to make it stand out. Nice composition. Well seen and shot.

A beautiful macro shot of the Dragon Fly clinging to the tip of a blade of grass over the water below that provides the perfect backdrop to show off the beauty of it's wings against it like the finest black silk netting with leaf like patterns woven into it.
