I had not seen this before. This is a great angle to show off the butterfly in more ways than one. You not only see both bottom and top of the wings, with the light shining through, but you get a great close up of the face! You should do well with this! Daphne Oberon

Thanks so much for the great review! I apologize,I never did answer your earlier question,I live in upstate New York State,in a rural area about an hour from the Pennsylvania border,if that helps. Have been raising monarchs for basically decades. In collecting leaves for the few remaining caterpillars I still had,I found three small caterpillars. The way things are going,I probably won?t have released all my monarchs until the end of September. At least I?m not finding anymore eggs! LeeAnn

A beautiful butterfly that is shown in good detail. The colors (especially the green background) are a bit over saturated for my taste, but the butterfly stands out well. Best wishes in the contest.

This is a beautiful capture ! It allows a close look at this Monarch Butterfly, nice angle of shot, well focused, the image is clear , well controlled exposure, the colors and tones appear natural. Nice detail in the wings and body, good detail in legs and antennas ! Well placed in the frame. Perfect clear background allows a view without distractions !
