This is a really cool shot you've got of this spider! I love how well you captured the webbing in its full form and how the spider is in the middle of it. Magnificent catch here. Love it!

Great entry for the contest. I looks like an Orb Nice capture of the web with all the intricate and uneven patterns. Dark background accents the main subject. Best of the best in the contest ~ Steve

Thank you. It may get DQ'd because it technically isn't an insect.

Should not be a problem IMO. Closer to an ant than a horse right? But who knows. Still a good image.

Very good entry for the contest. Great close up of this rather untidy web with the busy spider in the centre - maybe he needs to go to the web making school! Very good lighting and focus showing great detail. Great composition. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

I really like how the background is blurred it really brings out the web. The lines in the web are interesting with the broken lines...almost makes you dizzy looking at it. The spider seems a bit blurry but overall nice shot....good luck in the contest!

Scary! I feel too close to this spider! Great shot! I love that we can see the details in the web! The image does not feel 100% clear maybe a little blur? But still pleasant to look at ! Good job!

It's an awesome image of the web, it's wonderful that you actually got the spider too, the web is clear, well focused and well exposed! The details of the web are clear and well seen, the spider unfortunately is over exposed causing a loss of details. The composition is good . I like your title too!

I want to like this photo because I, too, am fascinated with spiders and their webs and know how challenging it can be to photograph them well. The lighting seems fine and the background is good, but the web and the spider are simply out of focus. So much so that the viewer almost can't identify it as a spider. Perhaps the mixed media you used is the culprit.

Hahaha!!! The spider web is sloppy but it still works! The spider must be waiting for a insect to get caught in its web! I think the holes in the webs is where insects got already caught!!! I also like that it's blurry in the background. Great job!!!
