Great scene my friend. This is Mount McKinley right? Great job in accenting the drama of the mountain. The dark land leading to the waters edge is a perfect Segway to the cool blues of the water. Well done and I am so glad you have such good memories of Alaska ~ Steve

Hi Sesha thank you for sharing this absolutely stunning painting of your memories from Alaska.. Love the intensity and depth you have brilliantly achieved with your brush strokes .. The misty bluish hue that sinks down over the mountain tops is beautifully blended to give a drifting effect a as it penetrates the land below.. It offers a feeling of enchantment and enriches the value of your scene as it encroaches on the snow covered peaks below. The mountain range in the background is beautifully rendered. showing so much detail in its many faces .. a great three dimensional inclusion that offers its own feeling of depth of field .. love the reddish hue used to accentuate the tip if the mount.. it contrasts perfectly with the stark white snow and adds a feeling of warmth to the picture.. The occasional bare rock visible gives good contrasting value to the peak itself.. the stretch of mountain range in the foreground provides a wonderful border in front of the white peaks behind.. compliments the misty sky, giving it a rich and dense appearance.. the trickles of snow on the slopes are a nice addition and help give the mountain its own unique shape as it stretches along the river bank.. Excellent brush strokes used to create the river.. the shimmer on the water's surface is appealing and almost has a glassy, iced effect on the mind's eye.. the ripples in the water offer good feeling of motion on the blanket of water... nice reflection shown in the foreground, with the white highlighted effect that contrasts well with the deeper blue colour of the water.. There is a most serene and intriguing emotion emanating from within.. and there is harmony between the waters and the mountains . fabulous painting, stunning eye appeal and a pleasing effect on the mind's eye. thanks for sharing Sesha.. and for your accompanying notes.. Captured a wonderful feel to this art work. I love the pinks on top of the mountain,the shading and light are excellent. Good shadows in the water helps to give it depth and composed well. Good luck

This is a beautiful scene! The mountain in the back draws the eye immediately, I love the lighting on the top, the band of clouds at the base, clouds up above it, the blue water reflecting the land and sky! This is very well rendered and a pleasure to view!
