I simply love this! What a cool photo. I am not usually a fan of black and white but this seems to compliment this photo. Great tone, nice contrast, crisp and clean. Nice!

This is a perfect picture for black and white. Makes me feel like I'm back in the olden days. It feels old. Including the overgrown adds to the feeling of age.

What a pleasantly interesting image this is,Pat!
Your theory of these structures being small to make for ease of heating seems perfectly logical and 'right in tune' with what Russian Traders and Trappers of the early 19th century were probably thinking! ( The 'Ivans' always seem to be 'efficiency minded'! Sometimes to a Brutal degree! )
Okay! I'm starting to ramble! : O
It's a great looking picture with a cool 'Antique-y' look to it!

Yes, it does look on the small side. Probably also easier to build quickly too. Your fine composition gives us a good look at the house. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely taken!
