These things certainly are texture rich and their shapes make for an interesting scheme of patterns throughout the image. I have not tasted or smelled one of these. It is interesting that they are banned in some public places!

Yikes! Looks like a box of green "hedgehog fruit!" I wonder if a person smells like them after eating one, like one does after eating garlic. If I ever run across a durian I will have to try it. Nice clear photo of this strangely textured subject matter! Thanks, Daphne

What an interesting fruit, have you had the chance to try one? I was wondering what they taste like. The photograph is great with a most interesting narrative.
I can't imagine something smelling so awful. First I've heard of these, so its fascinating!

Very interesting to view as they are very detailed, does one eat these while holding their nose-lol!? They remind me of the seed pods I get on my daturas, very prickly to handle.Would be interested in knowing how big these are. You've captured these very well, love all the various colorations and textures!

I have heard tales of these fruit but have never tried one. A very nice shot but it might be nice to include something that gives us a feel for the proportions. I know they are not the size of strawberries.

Fred,
A beautiful & interesting picture of these odoriferous fruit with rough skins which I've never seen or eaten they have the appearance of a cactus! Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
