A++ for crystal clarity of this beautiful and intriguing plant and flower! My admiration. I don't know if this kind of thistle has the yellow sap, but if it does it makes great paint -- like watercolor. It turns light yellow brown on white paper. Since my peculiar parents didn't buy me art supplies when growing up, I used the yellow sap from a similar thistle to draw browns, red hibiscus for red and so on... thanks for sharing your great photo! Well captured image of a thistle. Good focus shows off the details in the bus and blossom. Good color in the blossom. Might have been nice to have a visitor (bee, spider) just to add a little interest to the shot. Well seen and well taken. Thank you for sharing.
