This is a nice shot of the Bengal cat. You have timed it well. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort! Good luck!

He looks like he was a playful character as well. His coat was truly beautiful, such lovely markings with a soft and shiny texture. It sounds and looks like you took great care of him. Your lighting here accentuates his fur nicely.

Thanks very much Steve! How is your dog? That is your adorable dog isn't it? Shadow had a lot of gold glitter in his coat that seems to be disappearing from the newer Bengals. His mother's name was Golden Sheba. I worked for a cattery owner who was involved in starting the breed in the 1930s, but I eventually got as fed up with the whole purebred cat show ring racket as I did with what is done to promote Arabian show horses. (And race horses!! The stories I could tell.) Unfortunately, although showing is supposed to be about improving the various breeds, I did not find that. I found it to be about fashion and style and politics at the expense of the wonderful animals. I knew western horse trainers who tied their horse's heads up to the roof of their stall all night so their necks would be sore in the morning and they would hang their heads for a western pleasure class. Breeding Queen show cats have their uterus's taken out and rinsed in antibiotics so they can produce more kittens. It goes on and on. The stories I could tell. Very disillusioning...Oh well!! Thanks again! Daphne Oberon
