A beautiful picture of this forest path in the Adirondack mountains the leaves on the Maple dressed in their Autumn Red immediately catching the eye then the winding path at it's feet between the tall trees. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

I want to step right onto this trail with you! Thick forests are not easy to photograph, but you have succeeded. All reviewers will surely mention the beautiful red leaves and I will, too. Their angle is especially good and is a nice contrast to the straight trunks ahead.

Thanks Browncat, I tried to capture a mood with my edits. Lots of dark mystic areas with the path forward clearly defined.

Cool shot Allan. This reminds me of the Appalachian Trail. I too enjoy hiking and here in Tennessee the Smokey Mountains are perfect for seeing beautiful scenes such as this one. Good eye for seeing this one. I like how the path enters the scene from the lower right and takes the eye to the far reaches of the scene. Good show Allan ~ Steve
