cool photo, no pun intended lol. The desert is such a un-forgiving place. It's reflected here with the lone antelope. The colors are wonderful. It's clear and well focused. Nice job.

I love the photos in the Namibian desert, for their colour, clarity and different location. This is another stunning capture. Excellent work.

Fred,
A beautiful picture of the Springbok bathed in sunshine & dwarfed by the massive & treeless Sand Dunes their mineral composition & sunlight changing their earthen colours under a cloudless blue sky. Artistic composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

And what a view it is too! Wonder what a deer is doing out there in such a desert? Your lovely image is well composed, sharp with good exposure. Nicely done!

This is almost perfect. To begin the landscape you are photographing is amazing. How very lucky to visit here. You have some great composition here in a minimalist style. Something big against some small detail - a classic shot. If the springbok was a little more detailed it would be a six for me. Perhaps you have a version (bigger image size) where this is the case. Great shot. Great place. Thanks for sharing.

Clear, crisp lines in this photo. Sky is clear and bright blue. Animal is a nice touch to set off the dunes. Also, provides perspective and scale for the mountain and animal.

Okay here you go. These red dunes do indeed have beautiful form. Poor little sprinbok , being a herd animal I presume, seems rather lost. No browsing or water around in that landscape! A story that sounds like an absolute yarn was how wild Baja burros born in time of drought thrived on cardboard cartons in the refuse dumps. I got given a big one to break and train and it ate right through its lead rope! Great photo! My admiration for all the places you have been an all the great photos you have taken! Have a great day. So Sam did block me for some reason, this was intentional? I am totally baffled as to why... Daphne Oberon

Several people went off line with me after I posted the photo with the leaning cross at the top; I wondered if some members with fundamentalist Christian background somehow didn't like that. It is intended to represent my father's lopsided ethics, but not sure they interpreted it that way. Just a thought.... Daphne Oberon
