A beautiful picture of this red wine coloured Hollyhock with it's bright cream coloured centre the centre of the petals are darker than the outer tips the green buds under the open flower add interest. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Oh my goodness! Lori, this is beautiful! I love this flower with the deep wine color and yellow center! I love the way the yello lines reach out from the center touching the petals, nice center detail too! This is well placed in the frame, I like the vertical arrangement! I love the buds above the bloom and the bud that is opening below it, nice composition this flower is lovely against the green tones. This is well focused, clear to view, well exposed, colors and tones appear natural. Well presented , it's beautiful to view! Best to you in the contest!

Hollyhock are beautiful and somewhat exotic flowers that can be grown in the garden or just show up along the road. They come in many different colors. Their characteristic look is an open door to pollinators. You have captured this on well. Good color and sharp detail. The shot also shows a fading bloom and blooms to come. Well seen.
