I am surprised your didn't get more reviews on this very nice lighthouse bathed in the setting sun. I see the sun also reflected in the sea wall. A very nice photo!

Oh what a nice scene. I really like how the beautiful pastel sunset is the background for the lighthouse. The lighthouse is perfectly positioned right of center and is wonderfully framed by the dark silhouettes of the trees. A Great entry for the contest and I wish you much success in the voting ~ Steve

A beautiful landscape scene!
Interesting foreground interest that leads us into your scene. A gorgeous shot with color from sunset across that sky. The lighthouse is the initial impact with it's light guiding us all home. An excellent composition with good camera techniques and a good depth of field. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing. Best of wishes in the Contest.

The sky colors in this scene are lovely. I like how well the light from the lighthouse stands out and how the sunshine casts color along the side of the lighthouse. Your framing is nice with an attractive balance.

The whole effect here of the sky illuminating the already lit lighthouse tower is really cool! Not only that, but to me the strong yet simple composition of the subject matter is very appealing! A strong, graduated tower framed by bushy trees perches just above a mountain promenade, reaches up toward the sunset.... This should do well in any sunset contest! My admiration! Daphne Oberon

Quite a nice entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of your nice location which is where in the world? Sharpness and exposure are fine. Well done and good luck!

Thank you for the great review! This is located on Ocracoke Island ,North Carolina, and is facing Pamlico Sound, which lies between the island and the coastline of North Carolina. It is one of the barrier islands that makes up what is referred to as the ?Outer Banks? and is located just south of the larger Hatteras Island. This was a favorite haunt of the British pirate Blackbeard, and he was killed almost 300 years ago on Nov. 22 1718 by a British naval force here.
