Stunning capture - how wonderful to be able to photograph the Himba people in their own environment, at work. Nice sharp focus, and lots of detail. Great work.

What a great capture! It's clear and well focused. It's a good photo with a interesting description. I noticed the hobbles on the back legs. I assume it's to keep them from kicking, Thanks for sharing it!

A very nice shot that gives us an insight into the culture and life of these Namibian peoples. I like the warm tones and particularly the pot in which she collects the milk.

I like this shot! Being from the Midwest, I am very familiar with milking a cow. While times have changed and most of the milking of the cows over here are done with machines, it's nice to see this familiar scene. It's too bad that the men and boys in Namibia don't step up their game and do a little more of the labor intensive work, and give the ladies a break! Love the shot and the story behind it. Great job!

thanks so much again for your great comments and glad that it brings back memories: some American children think that milk is just manufactured like coke

Nice shot showing a part of the daily routine in the life of the community. There are many small details here to take in that may not be common here. The way the cow is restrained, the squat of the milker, the pot being used. Good focus and color in the shot. Well seen.

thanks so much charles;
a lot of actions can be seen there that have disappeared from "developped" countries more than 100 years ago

A fine shot of a Himba lady in action! You have timed it well. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

Fred,
An interesting picture of this Himba lady squatting to milk a cow her "milk Pail/Pot" held between her knees. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Not a very flattering portrait but definitely a hard worker.
The image is focused with good depth of field.
Nice complimentary colors with soft lighting. A very good picture and story.
