a very good entry Daphne to the water in nature contest; no need to have an expensive camera for most pictures; even cheap cameras can take excellent pics;
I like the vegetation in the bg;

Literally a cool shot with that Verdant overtone!
Excellent choice of subject.
Aptly captured for the contest theme...
Refreshing filtered illumination.
Visually balanced composition.
More water portion, the better.
Still a good entry...
Good perspective & long depth of field...
Good luck at the polls!
Thanks for sharing...

A detailed photo of Guatemalan jungle, has beautiful color variations and contrast, which give texture, good composition and overall beautiful scene of the jungle.

i silently scoff when people say that you must have all the latest "stuff" to take good pictures. This post proves that wrong. The greenery is cool and lush. The water actually looks wet. The whole scene is very inviting. The rock in the lower left is a tad blown out but that is extremely minor. Nice work!

really fantastic photo. really loving such a strong nature aspect and all of the wonderful trees and plants in the background. it is a lovely photo indeed. you understand the subject so well and the eye travels, like the water to so many delightful places. the first rock is in a great place, especially for perspective purpose.

Thanks very much for your kind review! The camera was so cheap it actually quit working soon after I returned from Guatemala and wasn't worth replacing! I am not likely to return to climb the mountain again any time soon, so these are the only record I have ...

Sometimes cheap and poor work. This is one. The details are sharp.The colors are vibrant. The rock in the left hand corner is close to being blown out-but still good. Keep the camera!
