Wow. I am not sure which I like better: You wonderful description of how you created this or the image itself. I am not an artist yet I think I learned some new thigs about painting and how a work of art gets created (or creates itself as things get flowing). Thank you for your five star vote and your comments. It appears you actually read them, and good for you. I now I have given you another way to look at your work. Just in case I confused you. We learn how to photograph, paint, etc. We cannot be taught the emotion of creating a work of art. Thousands of words are spent on this attempt. It boils down to this. If you feel it, it show.

Thank you for your five star vote and your comments. And, you are correct with your assumption about my inspiration. I call it diving into the canyons of my mind that are so deep that not even thoughts or dreams exist. I then claw and crawl out with a wisp that becomes a concept that becomes an understanding that then manifests into a painting. It is such scary fun.

This caught my eye and just the pallet knife? Very nice. I like the foreground with the water swirling around the rocks. Nice reflections off the water and well done on the rocks and plateaus! Overall very pretty painting!

Thank you for your five star vote and your comments. Well, actually three pallet knives. One four inch brawn V shaped knife, one two inch thin oval shaped knife and one three quarter inch long V shaped knife.

Wonderful initial impression: this is a very beautiful scene, I like the blue and gold tones , the water showing it's motion as it rushes into the valley with the white caps, the distant mountains are well rendered and I love the sky, nice blue tones with some white and even a peachy pink tone.
