Gorgeous shot. Reveals the vastness of Alaska which so impressed me on my visits there. Your color contrasts are exquisite. Nice job

Of course, a wonderful composition once again. Besides the beautiful scenery, the charm of this shot comes from how well all the different castings of light are naturally captured. Very well done.

Can we exchange locations just a month or two?!?

Dramatic interplay between soft highlights & faint shadows.

Fantabulous rolling terrain with monochromatic foreground.

Cool snow-capped mountain peaks looking up thru fluffy cloud formations...

Good perspective & long depth of field...

Thanks for sharing...

The blue sky and sun peeking through the clouds onto the landscape makes this just beautiful. The depth, shade from the clouds and small amounts of sunshine make the mountains really shine! Great work!

This is a wonderful shot of Alaska mountains. The wonderful trip to Alaska last July is still fresh in my memory. You have timed it well. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

A very nice landscape shot posted here! Your excellent composition provides us with a very enjoyable view of your lovely location of plains changing into soaring mountains. Sharpness and exposure are good. Well taken!

I saw all those mountains last night on Alsaska Bush people and Building Alaska. I see them everynight and they are breathtaking which ever colour nature works them in! I would love to buy a huge piece of land in Alaska and sit there- but none of my children are like me!! My eldest son was heard to tell my grandsons : Granma does some weird things /like going to art college at 40 , teaching in China, India and Pakistan etc./ I am moving out of England shortly and will make it my goal to save for a trip to Alaska before I hit the bucket, there or to the Urals where my ancestors came from, the other side of Alaska!!

Absolutely awesome shot! I am still conflicted that it's not a painting! I love the blue sky and variations of color. The low clouds are a nice touch. Also, the pattern of snow on the mountains resemble a snake's scales. It almost looks like a giant, coiled snake.
