Was this taken in the morning or evening? Which ever it was the perfect time of day for beautiful lighting. I like the shallow DOF. It didn't take me long to see your friend sunning on the rock. Either you have a great l lens or you are a very brave man.

Great capture!!! Lovely composition, details and colors are very nicely done. I like how the water behind seems to draw your eyes into feeling the water is coming in and swirling around the rock, while he waits in camouflage, gazing out for the next meal. Thank you for sharing! :) Jill

No, no , no. Oh my gosh! I would have a heart attack.
You have captured this image beautifully. Wonderful framing on the alligator in hiding.
Sneaky devil he is.
Waiting for his next meal.
I'm so glad it wasn't you because I would really miss your speculation photo graphs! ð???

I think I'd pass on swimming as well! I am one drawn to textures in an image and I love the different ones in your image. The leaves of the bamboo, smooth rock, ripples in the water all add to the appeal of the photo. Oh and the reptile sunning on the rock is the icing on the cake.

I don't need to guess when I see your photo Fred. LOL But I also understand that it is very difficult to see the crocodile sun bathing on the rock. I like a lot the branches you used as a nice and natural framing.
The only problem is that focus is sharp on these branches while the animal's head is a bit soft. It is however nothing wrong with the exposure.
The format you have cropped the photo into works well, and the crocodile is well placed off to the left. It is a lovely and all together well taken photo, and with a good DOF.

Nice job getting him to stand out so well from his hiding spot. The light reflects nicely off his skin and his eye. The color saturation looks good too.

A very nice shot. I like the change in scenery from that high desert. The crocodile is well secluded but seems to know where his next meal will be coming from. Great colors and fine composition.

Great capture, and a nice back story with it too. I wouldn't have gone in swimming either! Nice composition, sharp focus and fine colours. A great shot.
