A beautiful picture of this Canada Goose swimming peacefully on the water with it's perfect reflection it's eye fixed on you. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera & digital techniques and sharp focus.

I think this is a good choice for the black and white format. The marking details stand out prominently and really show off the shape of the feathers well. The light in the eye is nice and his reflection looks good too :)

Love this image of the Canada Goose. You have framed it nicely and at first I thought is was a pencil drawing. The glassy smooth surface of the water really shows off the reflection nicely. The only thing that would make this absolute perfect is it could be just a tad sharper...(says the person who can't achieve tack sharpness in her own photos). Good luck in the contest.

The bird is standing out so sharp and well defined against the background, and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the bird. I also think the exposure is very good. It is very good distinctions between light and dark as well.
The format you have cropped the photo into works well and the bird is well placed within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
