Great entry for the contest. Very dramatic scene in the cemetery emphasized by being in black and white. I like the angle you used for this, showing the fog rolling in through the trees. Very good lighting and focus showing a nice clear image. Very good composition. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

Oh this is quite haunting! And black and white format is perfect for this. The fog creeping in and bare trees add to the eerie feel of the photo.

Wow this is hauntingly beautiful...

makes you think of something you would read out of a book.

I'd love to see this at a different angle!

This is something I have been trying so hard to get my own photo of. I love old graveyards. My mom and I would walk through and read the stones to see how old the stones were. This would be a good shot if it was just the cemetery, but the fog makes it look more eerie. The focus is sharp which I like. It makes it a good contrast with the fog.

Sad and peaceful image, really good in black and white. The fog is spooky on the background, the whole scene remind me about Halloween. Creative catch, thanks for sharing.

Eerie presentation with impressive compositional element taken with a rather low vantage point...

B&W rendition make great use of light & shades contrast with nice tonal range.
Foreground space adds texture to the diminishing perspective.
Vanishing viewpoint lends more depth.

Nice letterbox framing.
I guess the leafless trunks should have enhanced the verbally impact more than the lower negative space...

But that's just a friendly thought...

Good luck!

Very moody piece. The B&W works well. I think the overall piece could be lighter and still have the same impact, a lot of the detail are being lost in this almost silhouette image. The fog is well seen. Thanks for sharing.

Mary Eileen,
A very beautiful & atmospheric picture of this silent grave yard with the mist rising up around the graves & up into the bare branched trees. The conversion to black and white adds that timeless feeling. Artistic composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
