A beautiful picture of this Hooded Crow ~ Corvus Cornix watching you closely from it's perch on the corrugated roof above you the sky light reflected in it's eye & highlighting its black & beige plumage. Beautiful composition of this very intelligent bird, taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
Good luck in the contest.

You have pictured this grow so well, and it is posing for you in such a lovely way. I think especially the shiny eye is well captured, and I also think the light is falling on the bird in a lovely way. I do however find the hot spots in the background a bit too "hot".
Your photo is sharp showing clear and well defined details in every part of the bird, and apart from the hot spots the all over exposure is good. Also good distinctions between light and dark.
When it comes to the composition I think it is room for improvement, because I think your photo could have done with a bit more negative space on the left. Still this is an all together lovely and well taken photo with a good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

A very fine shot that is well adapted to this black and white presentation. I might like a bit more space on the left but eye is sharp and the bokeh in the background is outstanding. Best of luck in the contest.

Exquisite bird portrait.
Excellent choice of subject.
Aptly captured for the contest theme...
Impressive b&w rendition. Excellent tonal range with cute bokeh effects.
Pin sharp focusing.
Bright lighting.
Nice facial features & textures.
Tad tight on upper left corner.
More margin to where the beak is pointing adds a loose breathing space.
Good lighting & framing. Thanks for sharing...
