High on substance, I love the dark brown coat of this bison, in contrast with the different shades at the foreground and background. Your angle is great, as well as the focus. The textures are well-defined. I could have given this a six, if you've provided more negative space from the left hand side, so that your subject have plenty of space to move. A refreshing sight and the artist notes fits well.

I like the close view of this magnificent animal. Very nice capture of the body texture and the woolly fur on the neck and face. I like how well the details of the face can be seen and that his size is still discernible even with the expansive distance in the background.

I have been to South Dakota and saw many a bison. The ones I saw were not quite as big and had mud caked on them. This guy is groomed and read to go. The background really highlights his form. The lighting is perfect. Great job!

What a spectacular image! Up close and personal and he doesn't look very happy. I wouldn't want to mess with him form a car, a boat, a mountain, a train not even from NY. HAHA He looks fierce and ready to defend his territory and beyond!

Nice shot Ruth Ann. Yes buffalo photos are a dime a dozen in the parkbut you got a particularly good one here. The lighting coming from the right lites this guys head and back in a dramatic way. Good framing and good focus. Well done Ruth Ann ~ Steve
