You have indeed captured this bison well Ruth Ann, and he is standing out so well from the lovely landscape. I also like so much the way the light is falling on him.
Your photo is nice and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in every part of the animal, and the exposure is spot on.
The format and framing is working so well, and the bison has got a very good placement off to the left. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

I love Montana and have always wanted to visit. This is a terrific shot of a buffalo. Great POV and focus. Terrific lighting and close up. I am going to fan you so that I can get all of your pics first. Very nice and creative.

To me as a Brit a photo of a bison is not common at all! Love this one you have posted here!! Your off-centre composition is very appropriate in giving us an enjoyable look at him and his lovely location. Exposure and sharpness are good. By the I travelled through Montana on a tour of western US National Parks. It was wonderful as is your photo!

Thank you, Jill! I tend to get rather blasé about bison because I see so many when I go down to Yellowstone, but this big boy was practically begging to have his portrait taken...lol.
